Dr. Barbara McFarland, EdD, is a psychologist, author, corporate trainer, media guest, and motivational speaker who has been enhancing the lives of women for nearly 25 years.
Dr. McFarland has authored 7 books on women's health, the most recent being, The Balanced Life, (2005) which has been endorsed by Helayne Angelus, Vice President, Procter & Gamble, Dr. Pamela Graber, Medical Director of Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield's Healthy Woman Program and Barbara Fulmer, National Director of Corporate Programs for Jenny Craig, Inc.
In addition, she has been invited to present her clinical work at Harvard University Medical School, Department of Psychiatry, has conducted corporate training classes as part of the Xavier Consulting Group, and presented keynote speeches at many women's health conferences.
Dr. McFarland has also designed and delivered diversity programs related to life balance throughout North America, in Asia and South America. Some of the organizations she has worked with include Procter & Gamble, General Electric, Cinergy, The Health Alliance of Cincinnati, the State of Nebraska Office of Women’s Health, The Andrew Jergens Company and Brown Foreman, to mention a few.
She has worked extensively with Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield in their Healthy Woman program and Jones of NY on their worksite wellness programs as a keynote speaker. In 2005, she was the resident expert for the Procter & Gamble's multi-brand website, www.perspectivesofbeauty.com
Dr. McFarland has appeared on Oprah, The Today Show, Diane Rehm of NPR and PBS, as well as many others.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA).

For over 13 years Ms. English has been working with global organizations to improve their organizational culture and develop the skills of their leaders and workforce in cultural competence, diversity & inclusion, team development, strategic direction setting, corporate culture mergers/integration and more.
She has lived in the US, China, Indonesia, and currently Singapore; and has lived, worked or traveled in over 40 countries on 6 continents.
While in China, she led Procter & Gamble China's Corporate Recruiting, Training and Employee Development programs. In Indonesia, she facilitated the formation, assessment and renewal of multi-cultural leadership teams, project teams and functional work groups; and led the change management process for a major organization redesign.
Ms. English has designed and delivered workshops for thousands of participants from all over the world. Recent projects include corporate culture integration for a major international merger; cross-cultural leadership case study design; multi-cultural leadership team development; executive coaching for performance improvement across cultures; developing the business case for a client's Asia-wide Diversity & Inclusion initiative; and a workshop on strategies for bridging gender differences.
Her clients are international organizations, including Novartis, Procter & Gamble, DaimlerChrysler, Infosys Technologies, Wachovia, Merck, American Express, Pepsico and The Boston Consulting Group.
She is a member of the American Society for Training & Development and SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research).
